Cloudflare
Cloudflare improves your website speed and security by providing a fast and resilient layer between your site and the rest of the internet.
Global Coverage
Cloudflare has servers in 310 cities around the globe. These nodes hold a copy of your website assets, so they’re close and can load quickly for international visitors.
Improved Security
Once Cloudflare has been turned on, we can disable traffic to your web server originating outside of Cloudflare. This means that attackers cannot connect directly to your web server, but rather need to go through Cloudflare’s firewall instead.
DDoS Protection
Cloudflare offers protection against distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, where a website is overwhelmed with traffic from multiple sources, intending to take it offline. Think of DDoS like overwhelming a restaurant with fake orders, so that they can’t service legitimate customers properly during the attack. As well as threat-detection, Cloudflare offers a much bigger network capacity, so legitimate visitors can still get through.
Tunnels, Storage, and Workers
Tunnels allow access to on-prem services to users over the internet
Storage for files large and small, without the costly bandwidth fees with typical cloud storage services
Workers allow code to be run on Cloudflare’s servers, improving speed and scalability (only available in some programmign languages)
Trusted by Enterprise
About 20% of interent traffic is powered by Cloudflare. Cloudflare customers include IBM, L’Oréal, Thomson Reuters, Garmin, and more.
