While we love building custom software solutions at LuminateOne, it simply would not be efficient to reinvent the wheel every time a new project came along – in fact, custom software is usually the last resort after any relevant off-the-shelf solutions have been vetted and ruled out. Our team is passionate about high quality software – no matter who built it – and we get a big kick out of finding just the right off-the-shelf solution for a client.
One such client we have worked with recently is Number Twelve, who needed help managing their growing databases. Number Twelve looks after Youth Services in the Waitomo and Ōtorohanga District, helping young people aged between 16-19 access education, training or work-based learning – so they are often collaborating with external organisations who need access to some of their data as well as regular reporting.
After spending some time getting to know the ins and outs of their organisation, we recommended moving their database into Monday.com – a flexible and visually delightful project management tool that makes collaboration very simple.
Monday.com has an active developer community and the platform has many integrations packed in, as well as an API built in GraphQL, a smart global search function and flexible data structures.
The work done by Number 12 is so valuable to their community, and we are proud to work with them to improve the service they are able to provide.
